Our Home

It occurs to me that there are those who are unaware of the approx. 700 sq feet we call home. Thus, a post of photos. :) A montage of our home for your visual enjoyment. So first I will show you our laundry room. Yes we have a laundry room.....its amazing.

As you can see, we store a lot of things here. the storage unit holds bottles of water and diet coke. we have some wine ( there is a box of corona behind the wine) and towels ( both paper and cloth). on the floor we have a cleaning tub, and a storage for all the bags. we have a LOT of bags. so we store them here. We also keep our vacuum here. Seems handy.

This is the view outside of the laundry room. I was in the middle of a few loads of laundry when this picture was taken so forgive the clothes everywhere. and the other vacuum. This is my new toy. HA, how domestic of me! a vacuum as a source of happy for me. well....the floor was gross and this bad boy helped clean up! YAY!

Turning around you'll notice our kitchen. Its wonderful. Thats my stove. its gas. My stove has gas. HAHA ( So i meant to make the stupid joke...i'm aloud to make dumb jokes!) I love this kitchen. its mine. and its got soo much storage. It seems to be silly to live in ( or near) DC and say "i have storage", but i do and its great!

This is the view of the middle of the apartment. You can see some of the table and how the kitchen opens up to the rest of the house. its nice bc i can be in the kitchen and still have a conversation. LOVE IT!

I feel like this is a better picture of our kitchen table. its simple but lots of fun! and the green runner thing we got for the bridal party is totally fun! adds a touch of color and really looks great!

Again, if you turn around you'll see a bit of the love seat, and desk. Our amazing tv and coffee tables. WOW! looks like there was something interesting on the tv! Looks Great!

AHH the bedroom. Aaron and I are really happy with these drawers. they are matching and they totally are beautiful! we found them accidentally and i'm really happy. Also the floor lamp only cost 6 dollars. thats relavant because it was an IKEA find and it was ONLY 6 dollars. you can't get that at big lots. i mean that!

Oh the bed! its nice and bouncy, i know that because i jump on it when no one is home. I can do that you know, because its mine. all mine. We found those silly lamp thingies at target. they are a lot more tollerable in person then on the picture. over all, good room! ( just no overhead lighting. I'm told that Aaron's dad hates overhead lighting, little does he know how annoying that is....)

Ok so this is our "walk in closet". Its more of a step in -semantics, right? Anyway the relevance of this photo is to show that i do put my ( and now aaron's clothes) away. also, i have to stand on tippy toes to hang things up on the top rack. However, still hanging clothes. My mama should be proud.

Bathroom! Thats the toilet. :) you can guess what happens there. the tub however can shower a platoon of people at once. well theoretically. the shower head sucks. the weird bits of color coming through the shower curtain are actually the other curtain on the inside. its got pockets to hold stuff! super neato! the cutie white baskets on the counter are another IKEA find. the long basket is our display basket of all of our pilfered items from the cincinnatian. we pilfered a lot. "we like to pilfer" - Aaron

OH YEAH! a second picture of our bathroom. that immediatly tells you its like 30 times bigger then last years "bathroom" (hole in the wall). a few more baskets to hold hair brushing items and shavey cream (and other shavey products), and hair styling items. I think you need to know that the counter comes up to my rib cage. so for my darling husband, its no problem, for me....i feel like a "little person".
SOOO that completes today's apartment #129 tour. come back another time when we will investigate both the nook and cranny that is our porch. :D.
